Huge thanks to DSG for organising such a terrific trip ! Truly breathtaking route which incorporated tiny little lanes which twisted through stunning countryside and majestic ribbons of paved road cutting through spectacular mountain like vistas ! The camp sites were first class, the pubs proved to be spot on and the guys who participated made the whole trip a great success. High points for me were , ( in no particular order ) 1. witnessing DSG extract a water bottle from his rear wheel post a green lane moment 2. devouring a great meal at the Three Pigeons 3. causing Keith to nearly run off into a hedge as he laughed at my pathetic effort to cross a ford and stay on the bike 4. witnessing DSG nearly weld his MT to the front of a coach and expertly swerve over a verge in order to keep his MT in tact 5.gathering the bikes for a shot at the ride start 6. providing Franc with the tool and part to get him going after saving us from an unplanned and enforced route deviation 6. watching Elrider attempt to incinerate my stove and everyone within 10 miles of it with white spirit 7. eating sausage rolls and drinking tea at Eric's sister's house after traversing DSG's version of white knuckle ride lanes covered in gravel and copious blind corners adding to the thrill 8. Spilling most of fuel over the tank rather than putting it in the tank 9. being led to my digs at the end of the ride by Franc and Mat and finally ... after spending a very comfortable night in The Old Hall hotel in Buxton on the Saturday night, bumping into Nick Sanders ( stayed in the hotel before setting off to the Manchester bike show ) ... he was really warm and tolerated a conversation with me ... not always easy as those who had to spend time with me over the last few days will be only too aware of ! A superb sprint through Wales and once again, thanks to DSG and Mike for sorting out the sort of route an MT was made for. Great fun and I can't wait to give Keith more belly chuckles as I display my unique combination of enthusiasm and incompetence !!!!

I feel well and truly chastised, I'll just change into my sackcloth and ashes then dissolve in floods of tears. I'll then have just bread and water for the next month in penance for my sins.
