I have just reserved a table for ten at the suggested evening venue at Bridges in Shropshire. The inn, known as the Three Horseshoes, is now called THE BRIDGE! Please make note of this name change. So you are now looking for the BRIDGE at BRIDGES, I hope that is clear.

I have also informed the campsite / hostel owner(Mick Boulton) that 8 of us have requested a breakfast for the Friday morning. If anyone else wants adding to the breakfast list please let me know in time.

Three weeks to go and the temperature is rising so get that camping gear aired and the MTs fettled.

Cheers Mark

I hope that your latest foreign jolly went well. I bet that you are on first name terms with the custom officials with all your travels over seas. They are probably scratching their heads wondering why in winter does this guy keeps coming and going. Just be careful they don't invite you into their small back room for an in depth search - it has been known!

I can't promise the earth with the C to C but at least you will on home ground - well some of the time. The staff at the Skerrig Inn are eargerly waiting our arrival.

Eric (Wirralman) has been looking at the return journey north from the C to C finish at Chepstow on the Friday afternoon.
If it is of help there are rooms available (single and twin) at the Abergavenny Youth Hostel on the Friday night. Ă‚ÂŁ26 for bed and breakfast.
I will be going there after the finish to meet up with members from another motorcycle club who are spending the weekend there. So plenty of two wheel stuff to talk about, there might even be one member on an MT500.
I will leave it to members to make their own bookings. You don't have to be in the YHA to get a room, however there may be a slight additional charge for non-members.

Tel: 08453719055 the address is: Mulberry House, The Old Convent, Penypound, Abergavenny. NP 75 UD

You can buy an evening meal there. Bring your own beer or wine as they don't have a bar. We usually finish off the night at the Labour Club just opposite the hostel entrance.

If you do book in please let me know then I am aware who will be going etc.

The SKIRRID Inn is a PUBLIC house where they hang the Saes. :D

Haven't looked at my camera yet to see what photos I may have taken, this German hospitality has me drinking concoctions all day so may not have any.

All being well by this time next week members on the C to C run will have dined and downed several pints at the The Three Pidgeons Inn. At present we are looking at about 10 MTs with maybe another 2 or 3 joining us on route plus one TTR and a Falconi.
I have just checked the 10 day weather forecast and whilst it's doubtful that we will improve our sun tans we should stay dry.

I've just had a look at the beer and food in the 3 pigeons http://www.threepigeonsinn.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; it could be difficult getting going in the morning.
