A couple more i took this morning after putting things back together.The Frame is more or less finished now (just needs new tyres), so time to start on the engine.I'm hoping to get on the road this Summer ;)

your making a brilliant job of doing jims old bike up , glad to see someone is going to enjoy it again :D
i can imagine jim up there shouting down ," ya wimp fitting an electric start " :lol:
thats what he said when i was going to convert mine
but im sure he would be happy that another mt 500 is getting back on the road
keep the pics coming as its always good to see other mts getting restored and we can pinch a few ideas
im hoping to get my 604 conversion done for the summer :roll:

Excellent work,

I notice your instrument console is sitting high. You have mounted it on top of the metal bracket, instead of underneath, which has left the gap between the cowl and the console.

Unless you meant to, of course?

I'm still learning about these bikes and comments like this are very helpful,i'll check it out tomorrow ;)
Thanks everyone for the feedback, i just hope i do the bike justice for Jim.Although it looks all nice and shiney at the moment, it will be used and enjoyed as intended ;)

just noticed in the first couple of pics when the bike arrived there is orbs floating around .......or is it just water on the camera lens spooky if your into that sort of thing :shock:
