about 2 months ago I swapped an electric bike for this MT 500. It was in a really bad way cosmetically, but at least it was all there. I didn't know if the bike was a runner or not but it seemed like a fair swap to me. I didn't want to spend too much money on restoration, so I made do with what I had in my garage. The biggest expense = Ă‚ÂŁ20 for drab olive paint. I decided also not to spray but brush the paint. The finish isn't perfect but it's not bad. The dellorto carb was already on there, not the easiest bike to start...4-5 kicks from cold. Decided to do the L.E.D. lights conversion although the blue for the high beam is a bit on the bright side,(will change the resister soon). Don't know how well it runs yet as my insurance starts next week. Been up and down my road but nothing major. All in all I think I've ended up with a good solid bike, which hopefully will give endless hours of fun on and off road.
