But more awkward due to the left hand kicker, once a technique is mastered, they are easy.

I dont really have any problem starting mine, much to the amusement of my cousin recently when i started it up for the first time in over a year whilst wearing flip flops.......

Second kick, pretty much every time. the only exception is when its 'warm' and by warm, i mean its been running for about 3-4 minutes. When i used to live at my parents place, there was a petrol station about 1 mile away i used to avoid like the plauge as the bike was just getting warm if i stopped there for fuel. Fine from cold, fine from hot, just a bit of a bugger inbetween the two!!

I've had "left foot kickers" most of my motorcycling years [MZ's,CanAms & MT's] ......I still have'nt mastered the art of sitting on the 'bike and kicking it up tho' ...
My advice is .....
.....buy a house at the top of a hill [and bump start it] ....and ;) .... Always park it near a hill [preferably near the top]

hth ;)
