Greetings All,
Just for info for those who wish to ride (if eligible) or spectate dependent on location, this years Exercise Hard Ride will be on Salisbury Plain on the above dates. It is run by 22 Engineer Regt and the point of contact is
Capt NR Smalley
C/O 2IC
22 Engineer Regiment
Swinton Barracks
Perham Down
ANDOVER
Hampshire
SP11 9LQ
Point to note ..... I am only passing info and I am not part of this event for entries etc (I may ride if I am available but not confirmed). Hope the info may help some of the old and bold who have ridden before even if it's only for a nosey

Sounds good! 3 in a team.. We should be able to make a few teams with the amount of vets we have.. TA vets also eligible. .
Bring it on!.

I can't find anything online about it yet, the BAMA site still has the 2013 details

I have a copy of the DIN Roy but its not to be communicated outside HM Services..
Its now 2 riders per team, riders must have an ACU trials licence. Riders can be from ANY service ie civil service, police, fire etc and invited guests. I'm going to ask the orgasniser - Nick Smalley - you may know him Roy! if an owner of an Armstrong or Harley can be an invited guest! Entry is £35 for Vets and guests...
I'll update further when ive had a chat with Nick..

Cheers Gary
If he's related to Tim Smalley then I know his relative, he was my RSM at Ripon.
The 2013 DIN had a protective marking but was displayed online on the BAMA website. Going to be difficult to recruit others if they don't release it!
Sounds like the same terms and conditions as 2013 then

I shall be pledging my allegance to the Wye valley meet this year - ive done over 20 Army Champs! ! Maybe next year we can enter plenty of 'vets' teams! Ex service and cival servants only as guests i'm afraid but nowt wrong with tipping up and chatting with some blokes who used to ride Harleys for a living!
