Gentlemen,
Has anything been decided about the annual gathering this year?

Nothing arranged yet but will be good to do something . Any suggestions welcome- (on here or pm me if preferred)

a possibility is we do the Haberdashers again (same venue as last year in Staffs ) , or find a suitable different location .

(essential facilities needed : mains water , WCs , and decent amount of space to ourselves where we can put marquee up and make a certain amount of reasonable noise in evening without early curfews or being too close to other campers - not easy to find )

I could probably arrange something at the airfield.

This might be a silly question, but now we know they did nothing with the space, is it worth speaking to Stafford to reinstate our original venue?

Not a silly question to me as I did not go to Stafford last year so was unaware they did not use our "normal" space. Perhaps they would be amenable if approached?

Don't do it. Miles better do last year.
There is a great campsite at Rattlinghope in Shropshire. I have spoken to the farmer about hosting an event there. Good pub not far away and camp fires are allowed
There are lanes to ride.
Could be an option

It was only a suggestion. Personally I think the War & Peace would be a great weekend but Folkestone is a long way for all of us so less chance of a good attendance

Sounds like a great Idea to me :-) Then again I'm only a spit away from the Racecourse :-)
