Malcolm's 560 Aprillia Rebuild

The previous owner of Sportax still had an engine left to finish on his bench. Part of the deal of me buying the business was to put this 560 back together! I cant think of a better way to spend a bank holiday! Pics to follow......

Pictures of this mornings progress..
Let the Rotax jigsaw begin!!
New Mains fitted to each crank case and gearbox installed.
Oil Pump cleaned and fitted..
Crank and counter balance shaft installed..
Now its time for a cuppa and a bacon sarnie!

This afternoons installment!
Flywheel side all done..
Now for all the clutch bits and peices..
Clutch side all done..
Cylinder on... Just waiting for the Cylinder head off Malcolm now as its away having valves re cut.. Hopefully be all back up and running soon....

Well gel mate would he mind if you sent him my 560 motor in exchange for his 'mintered' lump?

Slightly off topic but Sportax related. Is the Yellow MT that had an article in TBM still around. I think it's fair to say it was slightly tuned up.

Not any more stu.. The vrn lives on my blue bike and I think simon has bits of it in his lock up still!
