You need to buy a wife! Lots to choose from, mine never cuts the cable and always tidy up afterwards.

I have a wife and I didnt even have to buy her!! she's great round the house and italian so food is brilliant, the down side at the moment is she has a bun in the oven so has to keep resting.

Almost finished!

Georges valve spring compressor makes light work of refitting the cleaned, polished and reground valves..

Then 4 coats of paint...

Already to put back together with a new piston kit

Piston slid into cylinder with ring compressor then fitted over dowels to connect the gudgeon pin and circlips

Polished head and new o rings next.. and the remainder of Georges stainless nut and bolt kit!

Just the starter motor and timing gear and a 6 minute run on the test bed..

meant to ask but as you know been somewhat distracted with life...

What was the state of the sprag, cam pulley (i know the lower had a few marks, I had 'skimmed it' myself as much as I dare) and the cam belt rollers bearings?

Did i keep the kick as well as the gear select? I know I took something off for ease of transit?

G'day Pete,

Sprag OK Top Pulley OK timing bearings U/S and replaced. I have the kick start, Ive treated it to a lick of paint..

Petes Engine ran on the test bed tonight assisted by these two paasing by! Anyone recognise them!.....

Motor ran well and as it should and is now on its way back to Barnsley as i type!
