Ok heres my MT500 project, im still decideing exactly what i want to do, but fore most is more power and less weight.

Since its going to be faster it will need better brakes but i want to keep it all drums ive got this lovely TLS drum thats the stock one in the picture to give scale, it needs a little attention with the tig but it only cost £10!

and finaly in search of more power i just picked up this 604 head fitted with an 865 cam so that will give me bigger valves to go along with the lumpy cam.

next step for the engine is a 100mm omega piston which should get the capacity close to 600cc.

kick starin this thing is going to make a man out of me :o

Out of interest from someone who also needs a 100mm piston.
Do you have one sourced already? or are you buying new? (my understanding was that they only sell in batches of 3).
I also need the bore re-sleeving/finishing, do you have a contact?
All the best

sorry no i dont, and yes ive also heard you can only get them in 3's from omega cost of £600, so i might have to find an alternative, think i read on here about some one useing a wiseco for a xr650, ive seen prox pistons for abouyt 120 for the xr, dont know if they require any mods to fit though.

you can use the 97mm wiseco rotax piston. its a high compression piston so you have to make sure it can be used with cam you have and of the barrelcan be modified or not.

i think its about 120$
