Looks good, I am sure the White Helmets (Royal Signals) Display team had a couple of these, front mudguard does not look like it will be much use.
Welcome to the fold.

Hi all
well my first problems will be getting this bike registered for the road
So I've got to get a 'dating' certificate, my own enquiries reveal its somewhere between 1983 and 1985.
I've got to get a suitable speedometer for MOT purposes. I really want an anologue dial to keep the bike in period.
Silly questions like ...how much oil in the front forks? need to be answered!
I'm busy stripping it for a full service/ recommission for the road.
ANYBODY RECOMMEND WHERE TO GET THIS BIKE OFFICIALLY 'DATED' FOR THE DVLA
VMCC IS A CONSIDERATION? I do not want to go via the Q plate route
This bike has had a lot of money spent on it in the past , everything is new but has stood at least since 2004 unused.
watch this space I will keep you posted
Cheers

I rang the guy you purchased the bike from a while ago but he was on holiday at the time
our leader Simon AKA Bunker dose dateing for the MT Armstrongs but
wasnt sure he could date this one
you will need to take a picture of the vin plate on the head stock and send it to him
he will have a look and tell you if it would be possible from the engine number and frame number as he has a vast list of bike details for those years the bike isnt elec start so may be able to tell from the engine number
nice bike

Hi mate, you might be happy to know that you don't need a speedo for an mot. all the best. Nice bike.

Oh yes you do construction and use regulations 1996 any motorcycle over 100cc...........
etc etc etc I can quote the act and action but it gets boring. The MOT do not test the speedo accuracy nor function but you must have one to be on a road! ( catch 22)
Found one today at £24.99 analogue in a offroad catalogue....just gotta order it now and fit it
common sense and speeding tickets dictate speedo requirements, oh as one of the boys in blue I do know just a little bit about the law............ ( till next year when I retire when I won't give a flying.........)
Cheers
