MT500 Electric start conversion

During lockdown I've rebuilt my MT500 and using parts from a 350 I've added electric start.
I shortened the front down tube by cutting a section out so as to keep the mounting points and welded the original primary filter, turned down into a cylinder, to the bottom of the tube and used an oil feed pipe from the 350. This seemed to be close to the way the factory had done for the MT500s supplied to the Canadian forces. I added a rectangular section to the front to tidy up my extended shoe and to add reinforcement. This later caused clearance problems for the exhausts and some of it had to be cut away.

I have also added a sidestand to the left hand side and altered the centre stand. It is now easy to roll onto the stand without risks of slip discs and ruptures.

Too many pixies.
Probably too many Stellas in your case.

I upload photos like this:

-upload to postimages.org, select a small resolution or they’ll be huge.

- copy the generated link for forum hotlink.

-paste the link into your forum post.

There is an inbuilt photo thing on the forum, I’ve never used it.
