604 Offroader

I managed to get a few hours away from caring for a poorly dog today, to start building an Armstrong framed 604.
Arceye had already modded the front frame section for an electric start. This is one of the Jim Burns bikes and as much as possible that was useable will be reused.
The 604 engine has had a complete overhaul previously and been sat on the shelf waiting for me to get a move on.
I was concerned about the battery issue, which so many have tried to overcome, so I went to a battery specialist and asked them for the smallest bettery they had with equivalent power to my existing 350 battery. I specified that because the 350 battery easily turns over my 640 with a decompressor. They came up with a sealed battery with 130CCA which is fractionally wider than a 500 battery and slightly shorter. With a few tweaks to the battery tray front lip, I was able to use the existing battery tray and airbox (with a few extra holes in the top).
I tested the battery on the 640 and it started with ease.
Frame is together, swingarm and shocks on, engine, airbox and battery on. Now for some more time!
