I've read on the CCM forum about the standard can being too restrictive so that might be something else for me to sort. My trouble wasn't starting the engine though, it was the amount of fuel blown out of the carb as apposed to being sucked into the engine . That's all sorted now though.Roy W wrote:

If it's not used for a few days it will take several cranks, but then fires away
The decompressor will make starting much easier and save the sprag
