I have the benefit of a heated workshop with all the toys an in the case of this restoration a highly motivated friend to help.MONKEY wrote:So impressed you guys find all the time to do these brilliant rebuilds. I hardly get time to be allowed to ride the one I have got !!!!!!!!
I have also stripped and rebuilt so many of them now that I don't know where all the nuts and bolts go and where the trouble spots are. Things like getting the battery box bolts out can be surprisingly difficult.
I have all the correct tools for the job as well that makes life a lot easier.

Brilliant conversion, well done I am still thinking about putting a chain tensioner on and getting rid of the centre stand it just clatters about whilst riding off road and if you cable tie it up what is the point in it being there? I should look through the old threads and see how to get round the problem. Apophis parts were developing a bolt on conversion but it never made it to production.

Its not really a chain tensioner that I made, it's more cosmetic really. If you get some big bounces it stops possible chainslap. But in reality if the chain is tensioned correctly then its not going to go anywhere.
