My 500s the same -- off centre, & I have to fit the rubber the same way. Not easy is it :?:

Where do you get new rubbers from?

She runs, my electircs work :D !! I do need to adjust the clutch and the idle speed though.

The carb was overflowing at first so I took the bowl off with much effort, I resorted to choping the handle off one of my cheap screwdrivers to get the screws out!

I attached the bowl and float to the tank, turned on hte petrol and it all worked fine, typical! Must have been dirt that got in during the rebuild, although I take extra care to keep it clean  .

Put the bowl back on and it all worked fine, fired up 2nd kick! I'm still stuggling to understand the dislike of Amal carbs!

I haven't sorted the plastics out yet but intend to in the near future, but am moving shortly and need a functioning bike. I've also had more than enough for a while of working on the bike in an unheated gargae in this weather!

Thanks for all the help you have all given me, I would have found it more confusing and fustrating without it.
