Is the MT350 (or MT500)Commercial Parts list any clearer to identify the precise part ?

No they are not shown in that diagram so I can only assume they arnt there but in the motorcycle general purpose, Armstong Technical Handbookwasher fig 79 clutch assembly page 51 it mentions a washer at the top of each clutch spring :?
not to worry will sort the clutch out if I ever get the engine running again my task for next weekend is to drop the engine out of the frame and try to get the head and barrel off. the head should be easy but if as I suspect the piston is siezed solid in the barrel then removing the barrel will be fun and games and will determin weather I carry on with the project or admit defeat :?

Hi Tim, I've looked at my Armstrong Technical Handbook (my Bible!), and I can see where you're getting confused. Above figure 79, if you read the text, it says: "it may be helpful here to install two clutch springs with washers to hold the clutch together". This is just to help you put it all back together without it falling apart. You can use any old washers that will fit and take them off again afterwards.

You need to be looking at figure 76 for how it is finally put together - no washers here - just the plate.

Hope that helps,
