Well ive got through most of the dismantling and the previously spotless garage is a tip. ive gont for the lots of marker pen and little tubs appraoch to not losing the bits - and have taped info on all the electric so i dont get stuck putting them back on ;-)

Getting the engine plate off is proving a bit of a pain as my 13mm socket broke (!) so need to get another before doing the top exhaust section and getting at the main bolts.

as a complete novice ive been doing a lot of head scratching and checking the manual etc for how to take the bits off and in what order etc. . but its getting there!

Well, should've updated this sooner but after some frustrating setbacks (eg fuel tank turned out to be full of pinholes and leaked everywhere) i'm now up and running, and heres how it looks.
Now to find some side panels and panniers ;-)

You don't need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.
