We’ve all done it, just nipped out for five Park Drive Plain and a copy of the News of the World and ended up in the capital city of the country next door but two. Sometimes the riding’s so compelling that everything else recedes beyond the vanishing point of consciousness.

Shuffle, blush .... aha

This is a folk tale written and spoken by my friend who fearured in yesterday's Bridge Club Blog. It's set in Veryan where I used to do most of my riding.

Let’s face it there are things which matter and things which matter awfully, but which bike you turn up to a VMCC Do at a public cafe just isn’t in either category.

Vintage Bike Auction

Post by NVNL » Tue Nov 15, 2011 6:44 pm

Now, I know most of you are far too Bright Young Thingish to frequent the twilight demi-monde of vintage bikes but if you were about to sell your ancient Pride-and-Joy at auction which of these pics would make you think "That's the auction for me?"

As grey a day as I’ve seen in a while.

Hi Richard,

This is a fabulous thread, I am in awe at the scenery in your photos, have you ever thought of organising a tour of Cornwall? I don't remember reading about any MT meets there so maybe it's time for one 8-)

I must try and get a few more bridge photos up on facebook, but work, kids and bad weather all get in the way of time out ! Maybe soon......

Keep up the good work ;)

Thanks Norman, glad you like it.

Tours are a bit beyond me though there are commercial classic bike holiday firms here.

However every Longest Day I invite friends from far and wide to join me on a ride about in Devon and/or Cornwall. As far as I remember no-one's turned up from here yet.

Next year we're going to the seaside, I'll be finalising the details in the New Year then I'll put the invite on here again.

In the meantime here's one I prepared earlier - http://thebridgeclub2011.blogspot.com/2 ... bouts.html

Another busy day with no riding. Herewith a medley of my pics including my long suffering fave bike, Rufus the T140ES at Terras on the East Looe River in 2004.

Hi Richard,

I know its a bit late, but I think Lavethan Mill is the eBay picture that would do it, but I would clean the old Triumph up and wait for a bit of evening sunshine first!

Please keep the photos and blog going, half the time I don't know what you are talking about, but that adds to the enjoyment!

Regards - Martin
