Much going-where-thou-goest this afternoon including some very gentle off-roading on Davidstow Moor then out past Crowdy Reservoir and mooch about to St Breward.

Somewhere in there I found this bridge and ford, eyed it all up very carefully and rode through the ford. Then, inspired by Pete Sykes, I rode through it again, and again. Yeee harrr!

Eventually I parked in the ford and took some snaps. Even though I was very low on fuel I left the engine running because I never have fancied underwater kick-starting. After a while a chap stopped his Landrover on the bridge and asked if all was well. Thanked and reassured he drove on. The engine stopped. It can seem pretty eerie up there in the late afternoon.

Amazingly, after forty years of motorcycling I have just begun to feel the pull of riding off road - yesterday on the MT350 above Mount and today on the Trophy at (as far as I can make out from Google) Davidstow Aerodrome.

Yesterday early on I met a car enthusiast who suggested the Lands End Trial and I declined. This evening I'm wondering. What's that they say, no fool like an old fool?
