Looking to purchase an original metal fuel tank for MT350.
What price should I expect to pay?
Thanks.

There's one on eBay at the moment advertised by Red Rose Parts for just short of £150. I bought an MT500 one from them a few years ago which was pretty good and cost me about £90 if I remember correctly.

Hi Pete, I'd purchased the ebay one before I read this.
A couple of questions.
I presently have a plastic tank fitted with 2 valves, Im assuming I can just re plumb the hoses and use the 1 valve the metal tank has?
Does the metal tank have a reserve?
I'm changing back to the original as I dont like the plastic tank, I feel its to bulky for me.
I also dont like having the steering risers as I feel they and the bulky tank affect the way the bike handles.
My bike was fitted out for long distance travel which I don't do.
Thanks.

Does the metal tank have a reserve ? Yes , if but only if the mesh filter that sits inside the tank directly above the tap is in good condition. You can renew them easily enough but the range you get might be limited at best

Thanks Wirralman. At the moment it has no
valve, I'm hoping one of the two on the plastic tank fit.
Is there any diagram/ literature on how the reserve works?
Am I right in thinking the valve fitting is 3/4 inch?
Am seeking to put a blanking cap on to assist with cleaning solution filling.

When you state it has no valve do you mean fuel tap?

Hi Pete, yes I mean fuel tap. It is described as valve in my wkshop manual.

You mentioned you have a fuel cap.
Is it metal?
Would you sell it?
Thanks.
