Can Am 250 FOR SALE

I am selling my 1980 Can Am 250, as "spares or repair"

Last year I fitted new tyres and NJB rear shocks, as well as re-building the front forks with new seals. Also new rev counter and speedometer cable fitted.

All was well until the day of her MoT test when she wouldn't start; the kick-start and gear change shafts are concentric, and every time I try to kick-start the bike second gear engages and the bike won't start.

After 9 months I have realised that I will not fix the bike. If you know how to sort the problem, or are prepared to have a go at fixing it, everything else is sorted and you'll have a good Can Am.

I'd like £600 for her, but am open to offers near this. If you're interested, please contact me on 07780 628881.

Have a chat with Minter. He rebuilt my Can Am engine two years ago and it was a work of art.

Had same fault on mine make shure kick start is pushed right on shaft and don't over tighten it it can crush the shaft onto gear change shaft, worth another look mate
