New Petrol

Post by Korky » Thu Jul 29, 2021 10:26 pm

Hi, there's a lot of talk about our petrol changing and it's unsuitable for some older vehicles and will cause damage. Does anyone know if Rotax engines will be ok with the new fuel, if not what needs to be done?
I would love to know.

I think the main concern is on the fuel side with E10 damaging fuel pipes or seals and causing corrosion within the carb. Any damage will take sometime to show itself and, for older vehicles, sticking to E5 might be the safest course although it might prove to be more expensive.
