Always good to see pics,
Maybe one day there will be enough USA mt's near each other to have a first meet/ride out :)

From what we have seen so far it would be the cleanest and greenest MT meet yet!

There are at least 8 in the North East, (PA, NJ, NY and CT)

Mine ain't mobile yet though, can't figure out why.

Hey sam,I have a sister in south Denver and I get out there alot for riding.I would like to know if you have taken your mt 500 to the mountains, Estes park,Mt Evans, ect.and do you have to change your carb. jetting for the altitude? What elevation have you ridden it to?My mt will fit nice in the back of my pick-up when I visit next time and I would like to be prepared should I need different jetting,
Thanks.

A question for the USA guys:

How have you guys managed to get the bikes registered? I am looking to take mine to FL and I cant get HD to help and no way to get it into the country past the EPA.

Are there any scrappers out there going cheap with a tittle that I could rebuild from my pile of parts?

Mr. shiney-Call the dmv in the county that you plan living in.Laws vary by county within the state. In TN.the county that I live in does not require testing of vehicle emissions but a few miles up the road in the next county you must have a certificate showing you passed the emissions test in order to get your tags.
Does your bike have a good VIN. number and title? You register the bike by getting a title in the state that you live in.I got my bike directly through the hd. dealer ,as it was brand new, so it was fairly normal transfer of clear title. Will you be moving here or just visiting?
You should start with U.S. customs office I would guess. As for scrappers, hard to find here,we dont have the Armstrong military surplus that you guys have over seas.If you build a "scrapper", you show all receipts from the build and have the local police safety check the bike(muffler-turn signals ect.)then they issue you a "builders" or "special constuction"title. I hope this helps you.

I have tried the customs office and the EPA and HD. HD are a waste of space and the EPA and Customs say that if it comes in as a bike then it must be modified and certified to meet EPA standards. I am banging my head against a brick wall with them.

Tell me more about the special construction thing?
