Here is my bike.
Bbought this 5 years ago I think from a man who had it in a barn for 8 years took it all apart and Mr Pete Low converted the frame for electric start.
I live in London and go to the ace cafe a bit used the bike a lot to run around 1 hour in the car 20 mins on bike.
Harley front disc
handlebar risers
fork inserts
mt350 rear shocks
large tank
604 engine?
Headers that had to cut bash plate?
Straight through exhaust just for London loud and alive.
Genuine ex police bike boxes
With a 17 tooth front sprocket wheelies in 3rd gear past the pizza delivery boys when there flat out so put 18 on it after seeing blue lights and a quick word when I took my crash helmet off and I was 20 years older than him he did not know what to say.I had snapped the chain earlier that day so had put new chain and sprockets 18 tooth.I said was testing the chain and sprockets on the way to the ace cafe. Then taking home and putting away for the winter.
I put nsr 400 rear light so twin brake lights for the idiots in london.
I have had great times on all my Armstrongs.
These bikes are heavy old sometimes the lights work has cuaught fire outside the insurance ofiice while sorting out insurance.Every time I go out on it I love it sometimes it will be great and other I am swearing at it but would not change it.
There are great people on this forum and have had some brilliant times.

Hi Howard
I remember talking to you in 2009 when we had the first North Wales meet in Heverdots back garden.
Your trips to many places all over Europe have been a joy to hear about over the years
Eric

Here is a pic that I like the tzr 250 two stroke will give any bike round London a hard time.
The Armstrong has no trouble keeping up with KTM 690 or Yamaha xt660x is really an old motocross bike on the road red rocket comes to mind.
It is a terrible bike to ride all the gearing is wrong got gearbox longer 3rd short 5 gear and a 100 mm piston it will come up 2nd gear 1/4 throttle it is screaming its head off at about 75 mph will go to 90 mph for about 5 seconds before the noise or the front mudguard turning into sail gets you slowing down so great for non motorway or town riding.
If it starts to rain wheel spinning on roundabouts makes you feel alive but in the dry will wheelie out of roundabouts.
Was spinning the tyre on the rim and snapping valves over the speed bumps for a while.
A tyre will last about 3500 to 4000 miles so when you change the tyre you can change the chain and sprockets at the same time the swinging arm bushes wear out quick the front wheel bearings wear out really quick snaps speedo cables in less than 50 miles from new.
I do get off of it shaking in a great way regularly.
Will hope to be out on it again soon.
