My old girl... finally!

Post by truslack » Mon Nov 04, 2013 5:15 pm

After a 2 year break from MTs, and many (inferior) jap bikes inbetween, I finally got round to putting the engine I rebuilt back into the chassis and get out on the trails:

She's never been better, starts first kick (apart from when I was stuck in the middle of a river  )

Cyclops headlight is amazing, and got a nice little acewell digital dashboard. Nice to see a few familiar faces are still on the forum.

Welcome back Mark. Bike looks good. Is that the motor you picked up from my unit in Sandbach?

I've lost track of what engines went in what, I think it is yeah, about a year ago I took it out and did a quick top end rebuild - just gaskets, rings and valve stem seals and it's now one of the best armstrong's I've ever run - it quite often bursts into life if I turn it over VERY slowly to find TDC!

You don't need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.
