So after picking her up from withams (she doesn't have a name yet) I have cleaned all the filters air and oil and replaced where appropriate. Cleaned the carb and all air, oil and fuel pipes. Replaced the carb diaphragm, battery and flasher relay. Cleaned and or replaced all electrical contacts. Done the lovely timing idler mod & replaced other bearings here and there...Afew drilled out bolts and sheared off nuts later and we are getting sumwhere! But what about it starting you may ask... Well being far to eager the first day with an over optimistic view of not having to do anything, I put a new battery in and hit the starter.. It cranked over but didn't fire..? So I checked the fuel again.. Seems like when she was stored some buffoon forgot to even put the filler cap on! So what I thought was fuel was actually 1 inch of fuel on top of half a tank of rusty sandy sludgy water!!! (hence the carb teardown) so at the moment I Havant started it as I'm spending my time de rusting and re sealing the tank. But fingers crossed it will be done by next week and I can see if there's life in the ole girl!

I know I should of taken pictures but I got carried away.. LolImage

Just wanna say a big thanks to all the guys on the forum you've all helped even if you don't realise it!
Donation to the club on it's way!!
