AT LAST - I can post something in this area!

Haha, with all this on and filled with kit, I'll probably only get to 30mph!woodruff wrote:I still think you could do with a bit more storage, rack above the light maybe and a tank bag, prehaps a 100l rucksack; or if you still can't fit all the blood in how about a small bowser to tow behind?
RE: sillycone hose, I did not get on with it either- original rubber is fine for the job. I dont know if some have got a thicker walled hose or a different construction but I found it flexed and worked its way off. If you get an original rubber a new one be carefull so seat it propely before tightening and dont horse the clamps up I have seen (had) a couple ruined due to this.
I do actually want to get a rack for the front. And I also want to put stuff at the top to bungee things to if I need it. AND I still want to bolt the gun box on somewhere too. But to make full use of the bike I think a bigger engine is definately on the cards. Anyone got a spare 604 engine?
Might even consider one of them brand new 500 engines... Hmm... Need to sell my other bike first though. Anyone fancy a BMW K1100?

Wow, how selfless of you!
For those interested, here's a vid I took with the silicone hose in use - doesn't look very good!

Are you in competition with Harleyphernalia as to who can get the most hidious box on the back of their bike.MadStu wrote:Ah ok, Thanks Mark
I added a blood box on the back earlier too. Looks a bit odd at the moment but don't worry, I'll paint it green!

The difference may be that I'm getting paid to have the hideous box!

Re: AT LAST - I can post something in this area!
I got the new engine to carb rubber boot thing and fitted it earlier.
Boy, what a difference! The carb feels really secure now, engine runs sweet, I'm loving it!
I told SWMBO I was just going out to fill the bike up with petrol (2 miles down the road maybe). An hour later I returned
LOVE IT!
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!
I want to check if the speedo works properly, but from it I read the top speed I had was about 75 or 80, but it felt more comfortable at 60/65 along the A27.
I've not christened it with a green lane yet, maybe tomorrow
I've got to use it for work on Monday though so don't wanna break it, haha
