Good bike for what it was, and finding neutral was strangely like the MT....
Come june '06 and the need for a bike that started on demand rather than whim, the MZ 125SM (four stroke, very reliable and fun to ride, I can seriously recomend them as learner bikes) I did a little over 10,000 miles on mine in the year I owned it
Then I passed my test, and looked around for a bike I could a) afford b) ride legally with my 33bhp limit and c) could be ridden all year without suffering, (when you think about it there's only really one answer isn't there?) a few weeks into the search, I joined this forum, and more or less on the day, Patch responded to my "I want an MT500" type post with some photos and an offer
Being impulsive, I went to see it, and decided to buy before he changed his mind, pausing only to sell the MZ (another couple of weeks) to get the hard cash required to take Patch's MT away from him (duly done around the first or second week of July - after a fairly steep learning curve on my part, and lot of generous helpful advice on his...) I became the owner and possesor of my third motorcycle....
After a few weeks on the blocks, and much to-ing and frowing, a new mikuni carb (and a sore ankle), just today I've had fitted the bits I bought from Greenrotax (I admit I didn't/couldn't do the work myself)
