Mileage is in km , unless fitted with US speedo which is in miles. Reading is no indication of true distance the bike has run as you've already sussed
Enjoy your MT

Yep, tracking mileage is in KM so i converted to what we all understand. Oddly although perhaps unsurprising that the MoT mileages are the actual km ones. I guess previous owners didn't bother to mention that.

in the MT world, we all understand km. It does confuse MOT testers, as does the black out switch. When the army converted from 1inch -mile maps to km squares, it was great for consistency with other nato forces- a bit of a bugger when you're asked to drive at night off road neither losing nor gaining height following the contours for precisely 2 km when your old odometer is still in miles 😉 Happy days

take my hat off to you. In my world, if you couldn't get an armoured car in , it wasn't worth going. I've been shadowed by Soviet forces ( Soxmis )200m away when patrolling Nato''s Eastern border, attacked by fast jets at 100ft , helicopter gunships and infantry . All good fun in training but life expectancy very short in a combat situation.

Cool stuff. I think we all knew our life expectancies were going to be short. Death by sunburn ! To be honest, not sure surviving in a post apocalyptic world was going to be fun. We may find out soon the way our lunatic politicians are acting but i'm straying into beer convos :)

When I was 17 , I was thinking about joining the RAF. I went on a week long Star camp which after training culminated in a 6 1/2 hr:flight in a Victor on nuclear bombing training sortie. Didn't appreciate how lucky I was at the time
