Yes this subject seems to crop up a lot with these bikes I did take the gun box off and had thought about the central stand but with the tension on there .... don,t think I can be bothered .The cattle grid which is the rear rack may be altered to a light weight purpose made ali version at some stage but the bars on the side lend them selves just right for strapping the metal detector to and that was the main reason for getting this type of bike as a work horse which could carry everything I need and go almost any where and at the end of the day just be hosed down ready for the next trip .

It's all about what you are are doing with the bike really ,they do have a varied life ...........it would be interesting to hear from other members how they have adapted their bikes for specific jobs or functions ?
