Otherwise if there is a problem then you're going to a) set the wiring loom on fire b) bust your magneto stator (£800 from Rotax) or c) boil the acid in your battery which will explode all over your leg or d) end up with a flat battery and no brake light e) break your new rectifier.
OOPs! didn't see this till now...nothing disastrous happened fortunately. If something bad was going to happen how long would it take? Went out for hour and half ride and all seems well. But I will check it in the morning as its dark now
Well sounds like it's running okay. Does the headlight flicker? If not you're probably in business. When I converted mine to 3 phase I noticed a but jump in charging power and the headlight is noticeably brighter.

I spoke too soon mate, checked the charge across the battery in the morning on your advice and bingo, the voltage across the battery when the spots are of is 18.4. That comes down to 13.5 when the spots are on so I'm now looking at finding a solution to controlling the high voltage via a relay (see my other thread in Problems section). Cheers for the heads up though cos the battery was bubbling away like a good un and the only thing that saved it on my test ride was the fact that I was running the bike with spots on constantly

Fitted an Iridium DR8EIX-6681 spark plug. Has improved starting. I used to run one of these on my first bike and liked it. I hope to find once again that it runs better and last longer than the standard NGK plug.

Got Persy cleaned and checked for the mot last week.

Dropped it off Tuesday morning and later picked it up with another pass.

They initially failed it on the light beam, apparently adjusted it then passed it with 2
advisories, 1 rubber mounts on handle bars with play (getting that sorted) and slight
discolouration on the headlamp.

Next order another speedometer cable and an oil pipe (slight leak).

Cheers!
