That makes a lot of sense, all most too logical for my liking
Learnt from experience rather than logic Experience of taking tyres off MTs I have owned and riding with other riders who haven't renewed tubes only to find the first time they left smooth tarmac, they had a flat tyre
Some MT owners prefer to use professional tyre shops and RAC rescue but for me self-reliance is key and far more satisfying

Fitted new hand guards. Had a nice ride around Clieves Hills. Lovely day, sat and enjoyed the view. Just trying Barrie's guide for posting pics, thanks Barrie

Replaced carb to barrel rubber with genuine rotax part. Much more sturdy rubber and carbs not vibrating about. Still a bit wooly on slight throttle opening so im not sure the amal is quite right.

New carb rubbers fitted (found the old ones were sh***ed when I removed to mod the carb), also began replacing oil pipes and swapping out tired looking bolts and nylok nuts with new A2-70 stainless ones. Would have done more but, the missus returned home so I had to leave off, she thinks she's got competition

mine had indicators placed too low so it reduced the turning circle (when panniers were on) if an when i needed to do a u-turn. was planning to raise them but previous owner drilled the crap out of the cowl. so got some el cheapo small led indicators and bike-it zxr indicator covers to cover the big holes.
oh and i had to vacum up a few creepy crawleys hiding behind the head light. damn spiders get every where
new ones on left old smoked ones on right
it will do for now.

Warmed her up, dropped the old oil (without spilling any or coating the front wheel), changed the filter, cleaned the mesh filter in the frame and renewed all the oil hoses. Or rather I renewed them after doing a lightning 20 mile round trip to get more oil hose because like a tit I hadn't got enough in. Then to make matters worse when I came to put in the fresh oil I buggered it up by putting in too much too fast and got it bloody everywhere! It comes back out of the filler neck with surprising speed.

Took the trusty MT350 for an MOT test today and passed
After firstly ensuring 2 line number plate in place (as it always is !) , and bit of black tape on the bit of the headlight that dips the wrong way ,
and had the usual discussion about the chain looks a bit slack when its on the centre stand !

Rode bike to and from work, pulled bike into back yard at home "sniff" something doesn't smell right. Looks down, why the F is petrol dripping on the hot exhaust?!
After a look see and a chat on the phone with Mick about it I opened the tool box and set about taking apart the accelerator pump. Sure enough the diaphragm was sh***ed. So much for riding to work tomorrow!

My Bike was stolen Last night by some Scrotes. i found it a few streets away undamaged, except of course for the steering lock which i have now removed thanks to some digging on here. the bike works fine i don't think they got it running though they have disconnected a live wire ad i have no idea where it goes. the bike seems to run fine without it, lights and all
mostly happy though. just a reminder to not be lazy and use the ground anchor.
