Yorkshire Dales Weekend in July

Post by Bonnielad » Sun Apr 30, 2017 7:55 pm

Not to be confused with the Doncaster Bike Club event at Paul's farm.

May I invite you to my annual Yorkshire Dales Green Laning Weekend?
This will be the usual arrangement of arriving Friday, riding Saturday & home on Sunday. Friday 14th to Sunday 16th July. I can promise fantastic lanes and fantastic views in the heart of God's Own most beautiful national park. All lanes are checked and legal.
I have organised the same campsite as last year. This is the Bainbridge Ings Campsite just outside Hawes in Wensleydale. They will be happy to have us again after we behaved ourselves so well last year. Postcode is DL8 3NU. Website is www.bainbridge-ings.co.uk Telephone 01969 667354. Please contact the campsite direct to book yourselves in.
The campsite has hook-ups, toilets and good showers but no facility for food so bring your own breakfast. The pubs in Hawes (half a mile away) are usually rammed at weekends so I have made arrangements with a licensed cafe/restaurant that can accommodate us for our evening meals. Priest: Maybe you would like to join us there?

Please note: This is NOT an official MT Riders club event but When you call, mention the MT Riders Club and he will try to keep us all together.

I have had provisional commitment from some but please post on here to keep me informed. Some riders that joined me last year will not be joining us because unfortunately the dates clash with their trip to Sort in Spain. So Mr Shiney, Onewayonly and Superphil will be out of the country. Any questions, feel free to shout.

So long as you think you are fit enough Pete you are welcome. A couple of the trails are a bit steep and loose but if things get a bit difficult there are plenty of ride-arounds and lots of options for bugging out so it shouldn't be a problem at all.
