Tuesday, June 21st 2016 – Cornwall and Devon – an invitation
This summer I hope those who wish to will join us on the Real Classic
Point-To-Point Rideabout.
Point One – ample free parking, loos, petrol might all be on hand where we assemble outside Woody’s Diner Between Okehampton and Launceston, Devon, EX20 4LY 10:30 on 21/6/16 for an 11:00 start.
Point Two - Lunch is scheduled for 13:00 – 14:00 at Cardinham, Bodmin Cornwall,PL30 4AL. Ample free parking for motorcycles, loos, cafe, picnic area.
Point Three – Having crossed a few bridges we’ll finish up around 15:30 at the Chequered Flag Cafe (http://www.chequeredflagcafe.co.uk/) on the A38 just east of Lipsmacking Liskeard for last farewells, having crossed a few bridges on the way.
Apparently the Chequered Flag Cafe even has a Community Workshop, which is nice.

All welcome, come for the whole day or just turn up at a coffee stop. Bring a packed lunch if you like.
There will be no marshalling, rescue van or feedback forms, just a few good companions and some motorbikes ancient and modern.

If you’d prefer to make your own way from Point To Point rather ride in a group please do.

If wet we’re still doing it.

Odd though this may seem, I have no experience of booking camp sites, but give me a little guidance and I'll have a try.

Aha, my other brain cell has woken up. There's a site near Tavistock which a friend from the BSAOC used for a couple of 216s. I'll ask him for the details.

Alternatively the Bedford Hotel got good reports when one of the Harley boys used it.

Apparently this is the one Bill has used. Twice, so they're clearly quite forgiving. He refers to it as the Scouse Hilton, he's from Liverpool.

Off we set down the old A30 for Greystone Bridge and Cornwall, soon we crossed into the Duchy over Polston Bridge instead. Moral – don’t daydream when you’re supposed to be navigating.
