Sinterlaastreffen 2015

Hello, who's up for an easy continental rally just before Christmas - actually in two weeks time.
The Sinterklaastreffen (Santa Klaus Rally) is a long established Belgian Rally that is run annually in the first weekend on december
in Ostend. This year it is back at it's old classic base at the velodrome in the town centre.
Camp in the velodrome or b and b/hotel in one of the many such establishments nearby. I'll be camping.
Entrance is 15 euros, pay on arrival.
It's a simple format. Turn up on Friday, beer tent, food and then bands about 9 pm until late.
Saturday, mass ride through the town to welcome Sinterklaas at the port. Saturday nght, as per Friday. I usually pub crawl around the town until 11 pm and then join the party.
Sunday, ride home.
It's a classic event and Ostend is not the town it used to be, it's now very charming and has a great Christmas feel to it.
My Armstrong only has a daytime MOT (no lights fitted), so I'll be on one of my old BMW twins. I can guarantee that an MT350/500 will cause a lot of interest.
For those with a limited grasp of where Ostend is...get off ferry/tunnel at Calais and turn left, after 70 miles you are there. Easy.
