Riding inland from Trepanto along the valley of the River Alf (from the Welsh Llifiannad – a flood or flooding) we come to the old farmstead of Map Hendra where we cross the flooding by the fine eighth century clapper bridge in the wood below Narnia’s twin village, Warleggan.

I always enjoy the write-up of your trips Richard. Hopefully I'll one day be able to repay you with a photo of my steed on a hitherto unknown bridge for your delectation and delight!
