This got mentioned last year. So posting to see if there is any interest for a trip for the big 70th calibrations in 2014.
Thought Dover to Calais crossing as it's cheaper and camping or B&B.
All suggestions and interested parties please post
Thanks
Grant

Save your TESCO rewards points and go for "free" via the Chunnel.

If there is a Pyrenees event in 2014 (early June?) perhaps following a trip to the D-Day event members could continue to Spain. Food for thought.

Feel free to post suggestions. I know B&Bs are booking up quick as this is a big year. Camping an option but obviously that means carrying extra gear and a bugger if it rains.
June the 6th is a fri so thought need to be in Normandy thurs evening for first night stay? Come back Sun or Mon.?

I'll be there with my mate in his wartime Ford truck and I'm looking at booking the ferry in the next few days.
We usually sail with Brittany Ferries Portsmouth to Caen, next year were doing Poole/Portsmouth to Cherbourg as were camping that end of Normandy.
However whilst looking at ferry options I discovered DFDS sail Portsmouth to Le Harve, when I got a quote for the truck it was half the price of the Brittany Ferries one!!!
Might be worth looking into.
