Yes Pete fantastic area for scenery and quite quick roads , we go that way quite often and to Betws y Coed and over Denbigh moores ,last time we went the weather was fantastic for a change ,which made for great riding , i usualy go on the mt 500 and the roads suite the bike quite well

The A5 is a pretty awesome all the way from Owesetry to Bangor one of my Favourite roads, (as long as it's not full of haulage lorries)

Took that road when I went out for a ride during the Dragon this year. I agree with you Pete, it is a lovely ride.

I was aiming to meet my daughter, she's at Bangor Uni, but it was the weekend she was visiting friends in Manchester

but went for the ride there anyway.

went that way today Llanfairfechan to Llanberis up Llanberis pass and down to Betws y Coed great weather and back home and the 500 didnt miss a beat

He was trying to take the easy route

I powered through the main path just above his bike in the picture, no problem. But then, I've got a standard engine with a standard airbox, not a monster 604 that demands a K &N filter

No ...... brain power... Mike's ( my mate riding my MT No2, complete with metal plug cap)

Placed an old railway sleeper in the wheeltrack behind the rear wheel. There were four of us so we picked up the back end and dragged it onto the sleeper, then rolled it out backwards.

The first idea was to lift out the front end first onto 'dry ground'. Good in theory, but the dry ground melted away like sugar when the weight of the wheel touched it.

The tyres were worn Distanzias, which was a good thing. With off-road tyres he'd have bogged down further in and I hadn't taken my flippers.

The track is the Wayfarer. I'm sure the water wasn't that deep last September
