MT touring interest

It could just be me but there seems always to be a lot of interest generated by Members reporting about their tours on their MTs. Perhaps we are all waiting to hear of mechanical tales of woe or to learn how unbelievably able an MT is.

Be it the guys in February off to Norway, Morocco and the Bristol set, Moscow to Moscow and the latest one to the Alps, judging by the site hits interest abounds.

Whilst members do organise several weekend events could there be an interest in an organised club tour?

Last September I organised a tour of 12 of the UK's national parks for a group of 14 bikers and this September I organised a two week on the continent for 16 of us. On both trips I used youth hostels to keep the costs down.

It would be interesting to hear from members if this kind of adventure would be for them.

....I'm always up for some travelling but do like to be under canvas more than youth hostels......

.....Next week I start evening classes in Russian with a view to doing a four or five month trip to Mongolia on my MT in 2013..... Although I may do the trip alone, so far one MT owner has expressed quite an interest in also riding there ...... I'm not looking to lead a trip there as I don't consider myself a leader or a follower! ..... I just have an interest in travel and yearn to go there.......

Great idea. I'm sure I'm not the only one with limited time for this sort of jaunt. What I like the idea of is a UK tour with stops around the country so folk can join and stay for as long or as short a time as they want. I agree camping preferred to youth hostels.

We could do it as a fundraiser?

Cheers
Dave

Another. Interested member here!

If you could get an idea of dates and places as well as when, hostels or camping I'm well up for either, preferrably wild camping if we camp I'm not a big fan of all singing all dancing campsites.
Our clubs very own round way up with a handful of MT''s, who needs BMW GS's and a 4by4 support van?
:)

A great idea to make it a charity fundraiser too as per previous post.

Mr Fox is planning a trip across, and around Wales using mainly byways, RUPPS, and BOATS.
A trip like this all around Britain would be great.
I also would love to do the Maginot line tour/trip.

bring them to ireland, you are sure of a welcome and a great time. irish members are spread over the island and each of us could show the group around our local patches.
It would be interesting to hear from members if this kind of adventure would be for them.
