I am just organising logistics on this end at the moment. We may be forced to the campsite as a result of the airfield being waterlogged.
I am going to go to the airfield tomorrow and walk the planned camping area and see how bad it actually is.

Just an update on Northants. The airfield is still incredibly waterlogged and we are keeping an eye on it. The concern is that we would have to send bikes up the main runway to reconnect to the hard taxi way and exit from the airfield as the owner does not want us ripping up the grass manoeuvring area on bikes. This obviously leads to safety implications if the weather is flyable on the weekend.
I am going to go and talk to the campsite today as plan B.
On the bright side it's going to make the lanes fun!!
The address of the airfield is:
Spanhoe Airfield
Laxton
Corby
Northants
NN17 3AT
United Kingdom
The campsite is down the same road about a mile away at New Lodge Farm. Link given earlier for it.

It's not Road worthy yet, hence the uncertainty, if it is roadworthy it might have been expensive!

Unfortunately I will be in China for a couple of weeks for work, and so I can not make it to Mr Shiney's Northampton meeting this year. Shame because it was a really good laugh last year.I hope you all have a good time in the Northamptonshire mud.

Right guys,
Due to flooding at the airfield I am looking at the move to New Lodge Farm Campsite just down the road. The owner Simon is a local drinking friend has agreed to open up for us out of season. We will get proper level pitches both grass and hard standing with electric hook up for the glamping vans. Full use of the brand new heated shower block with unlimited hot water and showers facilities better than a hotel.
He has also very kindly agreed to let us have free run of his Bistro dome after they shop closes on Saturday night to entertain ourselves. This is a lounging area with wood burning stove, is fully heated and is also happy to lay on food for us if we want. I have asked a friend to provide another barrel of beer for the weekend.
Cost for the camping for the weekend will be £30 plus the paypal fee £2 which is what we were going to pay for the airfield with nothing. Please can we get payments into the club paypal account ASAP so I can make the payment to him.
I will post some pictures up shortly of the site and facilities but they are excellent!!
