While I think about it and am advance planning, can we get the club kitchen and marquis again?

OK, we have confirmation that we can use the airfield at Spanhoe for our meet should we need it. Its off the beaten track a little so its going to be a case of making our own entertainment or a walk down the hill of about a mile to the nearest pub.

I will arrange a toilet and we have water but no power down at the end assigned for camping. Ideally if we can get the club marquis and lights etc we set up a little base camp around that with a whip around for beers etc. and I can bring around the fire pit and some logs.

How does that sound?

Now for the second plan!

New Lodgefarm campsite which is technically closed but is owned by a neighbour is also available to us. This will obviously incur a camping fee but has heated shower and toilet blocks and electric hook up available.

Simon who owns it could also make catering arrangements for us in terms of the on site Bistro or a pig roast.

So I open the vote!!

Chisler has the club trailer, with marque etc. He is near Knighton, mid Wales.

Is there anyone going to come that way that can pick it up or can we persuade him to attend?

It would be nice to have the marquee set up as now the vote seems to have gone in favour of the airfield there is going to be nothing there in the way of facilities, it will literally be a tent pitch and dark for you. I will bring over my little fire pit as there is plenty of wood to scavenge from the hedge we cut down a couple of years ago.

I have spoken to Chisler and he is not going to make it as he is working that weekend.

Is there anyone who is coming down that can bring the trailer with them?

If not then I think I will need to propose we use the campsite instead as it has facilities.

Steve,
Chisler and Dave both live in Powys, although 40 miles apart. Dave is coming to the event so maybe they could sort something. I don't know what vehicle Dave will be using, probably the motorhome with the bike on the back, but we can ask. I'll let you know.
