Paul, thanks for letting me pick your brains on Sunday.

As it turns out my memory was accurate for once and the reg/rect output is 15.6v at the battery more or less throughout the rev range, rather than 14.5v as recommended here -

If you disconnect the 3 wires from the alternator, you should get a low resistance reading from each pair of wires. This would normally indicate that the alternator coils are basically sound. Unfortunately, the rectifier diode test only means that that part of the RR is ok - it doesn't mean the regulator output part is ok, unfortunately. If the alternator appears to be ok then the overall test for the RR is whether you get a voltage output of ~14.5V from the RR red/black wires when the engine is running. If not, it's likely the regulator has failed."

-so I guess I'll try the old Kwack one which Brickboy gave me.

4th August Sunday

Due to popular demand a meet up will be on this date at “Louis tea rooms”
Kit Hill Callington cornwall PL17 8AX

As usual there will be plenty of classic bikes there as it’s the VMCC monthly meet also
Just turn up anytime in the morning or afternoon
Plenty of Tea and plenty of Cake or even a Fried Breakfast

Some fantastic roads to and from here
A great way to enjoy a bit of Cornish Sunshine :D

Due to popular demand.
It's about time we got this going again. It only stopped because Jannersbee worked every Sunday, bollocks to him we're doing it.

My bike should be OK going over the border into Cornwall as it's virtually the same place according to everyone living North of Bristol.

I'll be there matey.

It'll be fun taking the sidecar across Dartmoor.

I might even have a Moose with me.

Jannersbee is working as usual so won't make it.

Hi though i'd put this here so the ones i wanted to see would find it first. I was going to go to the Shropshire meet at this end of this month. I have however just got got a call through saying that i'v managed to somehow land an apprenticeship and i start the Monday after that weekend so i'm going to give this one a miss so i can properly sort myself out before my first day. Aaand to keep it on topic this should mean my Sundays will be free now for meets
