Debrief:

Many thanks to everyone that attended. I've posted pics on the FB group. Please message me if you are not on FB and would like to see any.

Overall a good weekend despite one mishap and one breakdown upon arrival - oil seal leak. Also Gary was unable to stay the weekend, which was ashame. Will try and align with a free one next year.

As road ride leader, the run ran smoother than last year and didn't leave anyone behind in petrol stations or laybys. With better communitcation/hand signals - a thumbs down if there is a problem and everyone to repeat. Athought wasn't needed. A modern bike as tail marker also helped, as its easily identifiable at the back. I also wore a reflective hi-viz bag cover. So no one overtook me and riders waited for me to lead off first. Everyone except 1 or 2 knew the drop off system. The 2 picked it up quick and the run flowed smoothly through a few busy junctions, which was great.

Next years route will likely be last years but shortened down a bit. I will take a look at this years route again as think 100 miles max would work better. I also didn't like the 20mph sections through the towns and section with the roundabouts in the afternoon. So will look at another way of working it ;)

Speaking with Graham from Hereford TRF, he was thinking to create a mini Adventure Bike Weekend, involving adventure bike skills in association with Lee Walters. So one to watch and maybe make it a 2 day event?
