Yorkshire Dales weekend 2019

Re: Yorkshire Dales weekend 2019
I've spoken to Karen at the campsite today. She asks PLEASE book in asap. We don't want a repeat of last year's confusion. So far she's only got Minter & me.
I've also spoken to Jackie at the Wensleydale Pantry and confirmed the restaurant as last year. Saturday breakfast and evening meal (that's booked for 7pm). Friday evening and Sunday's breakfast are available if we want them.

Re: Yorkshire Dales weekend 2019
I had really wanted to come along again as I really enjoyed last year in spite of the naff weather and my fork seal popping. But I've got so much going on I can't put aside the time, plus the bike is off road anyway. I finally got time to do some work on her to put her on the road again and found the oil level was low, while looking round it I thought the copper washer where the crank locking bolt goes might have been shot as I saw a drip forming there.
I replaced it, went to tighten and it went all spongy and that's all she wrote. Now waiting on a helicoil kit to try and repair

Good luck with your repair. Have you changed the seals + spring on the valve underneath the oil filter ?FordPrefect wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2019 2:20 pmI had really wanted to come along again as I really enjoyed last year in spite of the naff weather and my fork seal popping. That's a shame.. use a time sert not a Helicoil as the tang is easy to lose in the engine. I've seen a few Helicoil disasters which ain't good for the motor..FordPrefect wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2019 2:20 pmI had really wanted to come along again as I really enjoyed last year in spite of the naff weather and my fork seal popping. Nice one Dave, cheers. Your tyres should be good and gravel tracks and tarmac tho! I've got some new Michelin Enduro Mediums to fit! Best tyres in the world!deadgrass. wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2019 9:36 pmlookin good gary, be good to see the new stuff you're testing,
