I live very close to Alton. The Alton show is actually in Froyle and access to the show is via the A31 dual carridgeway at The Hen and Chicken, so there should not be any traffic issues.
A really nice place for breakfast is in the village shop in South Warnborough between Alton and Odiham, and close to lots of the lanes as well.
As soon as my bikes back together i'd love to join you.
