Don't go on any long distance trip with me, that's the second MT trip abroad that has failed, I still enjoyed it though.

Carol Nash European breakdown recovery was worth paying extra on my insurance premium this year. A truly outstanding service within two hours of me phoning them to say I wanted to go home. Bike arrived back a week after I did.

Having Gary (Sportax) a phone call away was a life saver, the day I rang him about my oil leak, it was a bit worse than just a leak but that's another story, he organised getting parts shipped over to Paul (Fontanero, or as Mick calls him, Spanish) who drove them up to me as soon as they arrived at his house and refused to take a single penny off me as I was having a bad enough holiday as it was without paying out extra (his words). Between the pair of them they had me mobile again within a couple of days with the only hold up being Parcel Force taking 6 days to get the parts to Spain.

It doesn't matter what the chap at Carrot cycles says about lipo (£170) batteries, they're no good for everyday use. He blamed it on every other electrical component on the bike and explained that you can still be unfortunate enough to buy a brand new faulty regulator (Force), Generator, coil, CDI, (Rexs' speed shop) loom (LMS) but you cannot buy a faulty SHORAI battery from him that only lasted three months. Stick to MOTOBATT.

Apart from that I've got nothing bad to say. I still had a thoroughly enjoyable trip even though I didn't get to Morroco with Mick.

I'm going to try again next year.
