Re: Wanted: MT350 seat pan

I haven't been on the forum for quite a while, so you might be sorted, but I've got some tatty MT350 seats I bought from Withams. The covers and foam are knackered, but I'm sure I can find a sound pan on one of them. Let me know if you're still interested.

Thanks for the advice, but I have lost heart, and the bike is now sold.

Can Am 250 FOR SALE

I am selling my 1980 Can Am 250, as "spares or repair" Last year I fitted new tyres and NJB rear shocks, as well as re-building the front forks with new seals. Also new rev counter and speedometer cable fitted. All was well until the day of her MoT test when she wouldn't start; the kick-start and ge...

Engine Oil Recommendations

Hi All I have just bought a rather fine Can-Am 250. As usual, I would like to work through the bike, changing fluids, etc. The documentation I have read suggests using OMD 75 oil for the transmission, which I believe equates to a 10w-30 engine oil. I would be grateful for any recommendation, based o...

Re: Full Flow Stainless Exhaust Link Pipe

Thanks Garry, I hadn't realised you'd guaranteed the link pipe. I didn't post my comments as a complaint; after all the exhaust hanger sheared too. I thought I ought to warn others as with the exhaust hanger broken as well as the link pipe mounting, the whole weight of the exhaust system was bearing...

Re: Full Flow Stainless Exhaust Link Pipe

After my experience, this weekend, I thought it might be worth suggesting others check their link pipes. My mate spotted my silencer waving about. When I stopped I found that the hanger had shears and that the link pipe had come away from it's mounting bracket. I assumed that the hanger had broken f...

Re: Full Flow Stainless Exhaust Link Pipe

Job done! The Remus CCM silencer cost me less than £10, so all a bit of a bargain and surprisingly quiet too. I may paint the aluminium sleeve section with black exhaust paint to make it all a bit less shiny. As you can see the link pipe has done a great job. http://s22.postimage.org/m1576ghql/Remu...

Re: Full Flow Stainless Exhaust Link Pipe

Gary,

I received my link pipe yesterday, but haven't got round to fitting it yet. It's a lovely piece of engineering, thanks, so once I've got a silencer strap I'll post some pics of the CCM Remus can in place.

Brilliant, thanks!

Re: Full Flow Stainless Exhaust Link Pipe

Gary,

ZIP TIE's right; I've checked the CCM can and the internal diameter is 44.5mm, according to my vernier callipers, so 45mm should be fine.

Re: Full Flow Stainless Exhaust Link Pipe

Hi Gary,

Like Roy W, I have a CCM can for my MT500e so please put me down for a link pipe when you do your next order.
