MT604
Finally decided I've got too many bikes and really not used the MT much. Originally an MT500 (and still is on the V5). Frame was converted by Mr Shiny a fair while ago and the engine was purchased from Otto (Woodruff). It was apparently from a stolen/recovered so has no engine number. Has a disc bra...

Re: BEWARE postal trauma
Thank you TBM for setting the record straight on that - I see vehicle parts ok on MyHermes subject to the restrictions you highlighted Yeah, I use them all the time for sending bike bits. On the plus side, they're cheap (as a comparison - £3.75 for a signature delivery compared to £11.99 for parcel...

Re: BEWARE postal trauma
Interesting and rather worrying , thank you for the heads up . Just something to be aware of on MyHermes that I discovered recently , they have a list of "Prohibited Items " they wont carry , one category of which is "Vehicle Parts" , and their policy on this , as copied from their website is "We h...

Re: Shed Tat
Had it made - company on ebay that will stick any picture on to a metal sign. Took a crop of the Logo on the brochure in one of the sections here, bit of manipulation and sent it off.Bunker wrote:Did you make it or find it?

Re: 500 vs 350
350 is easier to start with the electric start, and easier to stop with discs rather than drums.
Don't underestimate the advantage of the electric boot. There are some than can happily start an MT500 everytime with ease. I'm wasn't one of them and ended up in A&E with a torn calf muscle.....
