lytham st annes

Post by Pinewood » Mon Jul 15, 2019 5:47 pm

hello

I am a new member from Lytham St Annes who has recently acquired an MT engined special - a Harris Matchless retro fitted with an MT 350 engine. I do not seem able to post a picture. I do have some carburettor problems which I will post separately. Owning a number of british "mechanical jigsaw puzzles" it was a revelation to get on a bike that started at the touch of a button and actually stopped without divine intervention !

I think I know your bike.
The Rotax Matchless is an even smaller world than the MT world.

Welcome to the forum!

We've worked on a few of these bikes now. Very similar to an MT500.

We do carb upgrades and big bore kits to make your 350 engine more powerful than the original 500 engine it would have came with.

Give us a call if you need any help or parts

Re -: comment from "sparky". Yes, it is the same bike. I had seen it previously on VMCC runs / meets. It has some carb issues which I will post separately. It will not run without a bit of "choke", it still required approx. 1/4 choke when it got to Knott End on sunday, a run of approx. 20 miles.
